Try This At Home: Edamame! 

  

 Gimme More Edamame!

 Edamame: This heart-healthy source of protein is rich in both fibre and folate. 

In 1/2 cup of shelled edamame you'll get a bunch of fiber: 9 grams, about the same amount you'll find in 4 slices of whole-wheat bread or 4 cups of steamed zucchini. It has almost as much protein as it does carbohydrate. It contains around 10% of the daily value for 2 key antioxidants; vitamin C & A. For plant food, it's also quite high in iron; it has about as much as a 4 ounce roast chicken breast.

 Very Simple to cook: buy frozen in pods or shelled & sauté in a pan with a little olive oil and garlic.

I joined Body Buster Fitness at a very stressful time in my life. I was exiting my business and I needed something to keep me sane during the whole process. Our instructor was great.  On days I just wanted to stay home and lay on the couch after work she encouraged me to get my butt up and get my endorphins going.  Not only did it help with my stress levels it helped with my confidence. The feeling of accomplishment after you finish a workout and watch your progress from class to class is invaluable. The support from the people in your class is great too. I have done many other workout programs in the past and found they became boring and repetitive.  I ended up feeling like just another dollar sign to them. That has not been my experience with Body Buster. They seem to genuinely want you to see results and succeed.

With the Body Buster program I look forward to each class as we are always doing different exercises.
I have been a Body Buster Fitness member for the last three weeks and I love the program. I plan to continue being a Body Buster member!
 
What I like most about the Body Buster Program is the support that is given to work hard and do our best.  I also love the personal attention that each person receives. I have learned how to properly use weights and what areas on the body that the exercises target
 
In the last three weeks I have lost almost 6 pounds but the biggest difference I have noticed is muscle toning and of course I am so much stronger already!
 
I have tried going to the gym but found it so boring and not motivating. With the Body Buster program I look forward to each class as we are always doing different exercises-  it never gets boring! I also love the fact that I can run up a flight of stairs without being winded. I have become addicted to working out – I love how I feel after!
 
I feel so much better overall. I love feeling more toned and healthy but the biggest change I’ve noticed is how much stronger I feel. I have found now that I am noticing huge changes I want to keep eating healthy and working towards my goals if being toned and fit.
 
I feel I have gained more of a work ethic when working out. By noticing a difference in my body already it has motivated me to attend every class and push myself more and more. After being able to run the 1km run I felt so proud of myself – something I know I couldn’t do without Body Buster.
 
Give it a try! I was nervous about attending my first class as I have never tried a boot camp program but I am so glad that I did. The Body Buster program is nothing like the gym. It provided way better results and most of all it’s a fun supportive environment!

Body Buster Bootcamp® in Langley and Surrey offers more than just expertise in physical activity. The program also provides all members with access to many tips, templates, and plans to improve your nutrition. Body Buster Bootcamp® is dedicated to your overall well-being, therefore we want to provide you with tips and information during class, on the website, as well as when you sign up for a new session.

Journaling

Body Buster Fitness® also provides all members with an online tracking system to ensure accountability when working out and trying to reach those goals. This system also includes a goal tracking system and trainer communication.

All members will learn more about this on their first day of class however, Body Buster Bootcamp® is the only program that provides its members with a unique system to ensure flexibility. You as a member will be accountable for making your classes, however we do understand that sometimes “life happens” and a class may need to be made up on occasion.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

HIIT has several positive effects and proves to be one of the most efficient ways of training in the least amount of time. It differs from regular interval training in that it is more intense. Even the rest periods can be more advanced.

HIIT is alternating periods of fast, intense exercise with less intense recovery periods. During the high intensity exercise, more calories are burned within a shorter period of time.
 
Besides being a fast and efficient way of burning calories and fat, HIIT can also improve cardio respiratory fitness, improve recovery time and studies show it increases insulin sensitivity.
